My take on Cameron's speech today

Why this happened

There are different reasons for the outbreak of violence in each part of the cause of the country but overall the cause of crime IS criminality – (I presume by this the cause of stupid statements is stupidity).

It has nothing to do with race or poverty but it is about behaviour – (criminal behaviour is about behaviour then very profound)- but wait a minute... it is not about behaviour at all, it is about thought processes, drives and motivations: indifference, twisted morality and absence of self restraint. (Right, clear as...crystal that is not crystal at all but maybe...mud?)

Politicians and behaviour

Politicians are not perfect but this does not mean they cannot speak “the truth” about others-(but not about themselves is the bit you missed out there Dave).What needs to be spoken about (opposed to what needs not to applied to politicians) is right and wrong :

• Marriage is good (presumably then not being married is bad)
• Children who fail in school are bad and so are their schools for allowing them to fail (to be replaced with good academies)
• Being out of work is bad (as there are not enough jobs workfare is good)
• Moral neutrality (is there any such thing-discuss-3000 word limit) is bad (so it needs to be replaced with yours which is good Dave?)
• Live and let live is bad as it leads to do as you please (to be replaced with do as I say not as I do presumably)

We have got to talk honestly (as Dave sees it) in relation to the riots (not in relation to politicians expenses, cosying up to big business, legalising and encouraging tax evasion and writing off millions from illegal tax evasion...I could go on but won’t).

Broken society agenda

A security fightback must be matched by a social fight back as there has been a slow motion moral collapse explosion???

Crime is caused by criminality, that is caused by behaviour that is not behaviour , but thinking about it is really caused by moral collapse ( criminal behaviour is immoral then-another great insight there Dave).

How does this moral collapse show itself?-( answer within the rules of what we cannot discuss i.e. not politicians, big business, financial institutions or people like “us” according to Dave) -irresponsibility, selfishness and behaving as if your choices have no consequences (Phew! Good job we set the rules first there chaps) and where does this come from:

• Children without fathers (a new twist on single mothers there-deft eh chaps-pat on back).
• Schools without discipline (blame the teachers, cut their pensions and academize their schools)
• Reward without effort (introduce workfare)
• Crime without punishment ( chance to cut benefits and social housing further here- if you have a job and own your own house you can have a different kind of justice)
• Rights without responsibilities (take away people’s rights and blame it on the irresponsible- a bit New Labour there Dave)
• Communities without control (more reasons to police and criminalise “communities”-racial groups, the young, the unemployed, the sick and disabled, those on benefits. Will not do that to those we cannot mention eh Dave?).
• Need to re-moralise agencies-(into doing what you say no matter how objectionable.)

And Dave will not be found wanting even though the poor chap is busy clearing up the mess of the last Labour Government (just put in there as it is compulsory in every coalition speech) as he came into politics because as one of the privileged elite (who cannot be questioned on their actions) he has all the answers. He will:

• Review social legislation (to ensure it does what he wants);
• Change the laws and institutions –(to make sure they  conform too);
• Weaken British people’s Human rights (and in so doing break European Law-but more of that to come);
• Weaken health and safety regulation( as above);
• Make new policy to enforce the Tory agenda even further even if they do not have a mandate; (what about dismantling the health service and selling the forests Dave what what!).

Security Fightback

Tough, robust (another compulsory if meaningless word there)fightback needed.

• Will have more police on the streets while cutting numbers- (and expect officers to come back of holiday, do double shifts, go without breaks or even food and drink in stressful situations at a moment’s notice while cutting their pay and increasing pension contributions, just don’t mention MP’s pensions eh Dave). This can be done by scrapping paperwork (we will not get any convictions but...) it will increase levels of fear in criminals (yes it did say that, I couldn’t make it up!).
• We will politicise the police by electing commissioners (so government can increase levels of political interference in a so called independence police force and make them respond to any hair brained Daily Mail rant such as using rubber bullets and water cannon even when it is operationally irrelevant and unhelpful). Power to remove face coverings from rioters (if they are that close I would expect the police to do a damn sight more than that!)
• Declaring all out WAR, (good choice of words there Dave) on gangs and gang-culture (instead of subsidising and encouraging it like we do now eh Dave?). We will prosecute criminals-(what a good and novel idea Dave). But we also need a social-fightback (thought we’d done that already Dave). Which leads us to...

Families and Parenting

Where are the parents? (Maybe working Dave). 


Why are they not keeping their rioting kids indoors? (“Bye mum, just going off to riot”. “Ok son..see you later”.) 


There is no doubt that many of the rioters out last week had no father at home (well not in your mind anyway Dave).

Apparently it is normal for kids from single parent (Single mother) families to go “ looking to the streets for their father figures, filled up with rage and anger” (who says that is normal Dave?)

So we will apply “a family test” to all “domestic policies” (by that I presume you mean your version of family Dave...married with two parents and in work)

Last year Dave asked Emma Harrison (Chairman of the private company A4E who are supposed to be getting people into work- Good job done there Emma!) to sort it out (God in heaven help us-and that is coming from an atheist so sense the despair). Poor old millionaire off the back of the unemployed Emma’s plans for the saving of humanity (and privatising public services) are being held back by bureaucracy so the red tape will be cleared away in order to put “rocket boosters under this programme” (No really- you couldn’t make it up). http://emma-harrison.com/2010/12/working-familes-everywhere/

And now to that oher big threat to human civilization...

Schools

Riots down to lack of discipline in schools so we need to make kids wear uniform (that should solve it Dave) and introduce...wait for it...more academies! Even make it compulsory for the weakest schools (even where there has been improvement). In fact they need to be pushed further,faster.

Respect for community

Lack of respect for community is due to ....wait for it...a “big bossy bureaucratic state” (thought that is what you have just been talking about creating up until now Dave, but can we not talk about that either?)imposing endless Whitehall dikats on local leadership.


So we need executive mayors (is that to impose central government diktats on our elected councillors Dave-right can’t discuss that either? What about when they don’t do what you want Dave – put up a Tory TV personality to get the votes and get your pals in the press to do a smear campaign on their opponents maybe-OK don’t discuss? ...Or is this just the Lib-Dem pay off for more authoritarian moralistic policies?)

Welfare

Get them into non-existent jobs or when that can’t be done on workfare (But won’t that encourage firms to take on free labour and drive down wages Dave? At least it will put more money in Emma’s pocket eh?)

Boost self-employment and enterprise (well that should take care of a few million eh Dave- in your dreams)

Human Rights and health and safety

In order not to break the law “we will be using our chairmanship of the Council of Europe to seek agreement to important changes to the European Convention on Human Rights” (Makes you proud to be British Dave).

National Citizen Service

To be compulsory for all sixteen year olds- “Team-work, discipline, duty, decency; these might sound old-fashioned words but they are the solution to this very modern problem of alienated, angry young people (Really? But most aren’t angry and alienated and didn’t riot Dave? What about the not very decent actions of MPs, bankers, finance, big business-oh forgot we are not talking about them).

Conclusion

While we will tell you what to do and think and make laws to reinforce it, you must do it yourself cos we don't want to spend any money (or we will hit you with a very big stick wheeled by Emma eh Dave?)  MPs expenses and the phone hacking scandal were some of the worst cases of greed, irresponsibility and entitlement (mentioned now so that is enough. No need to say anything more about that eh Dave?) Which leads to just a little homily about “the restoration of responsibility cutting right across society”...after all...wait for it ..WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER.
